Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Nearly two years after closing its doors, the site of the Mill of Pont Sainte Maxence (PSM) (Oise) has found a buyer: the company Paprec (2.000 employees in France), specialized in recycling, including plastic and paper. The site is expected to be operational towards the end of the year when it will employ a dozen people at most. In the medium term, its development could generate between 200 and 300 jobs, a figure equivalent to the number of posts (220) lost with the closure of PSM. "Given the growth of our group and the needs of the sector, such a projection is not unconcievable," says the director.
