European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The B3 Cable Solutions plant located in Longford, in the Irish Midlands, is to close, with all 106 workers losing their jobs. The cable company, which manufactured copper cable for telecommunications company Eircom and other customers, had gone into receivership. The receiver has been unable to sell the company as a going concern and so the plant has had to go into liquidation and close.
