Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) has announced 500 new jobs at the new Terminal Two in Dublin Airport, which is due to open in November 2010. The recruitment process has already commenced. Back in April 2010, the DAA announced plans to create around 400 new jobs in the retail and catering outlets at the terminal. The most recent announcement brings the total number of new jobs created up to 900 during the course of 2010. The 500 new staff will be responsible for passenger services and facilities management at T2, and will be engaged in security, cleaning, customer service, and passenger processing.
