Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Japan Tobacco International has announced a restructuring programme involving the cut of 169 jobs as result of a sharp decline in market demand. At the beginning of the 2010 the company employed 670 people and reported a turnover of 425 million euro for 2009.
