European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The German manufacturer of motor vehicle components Continental announced the creation of 1,400 jobs in 2010 as a result of an investment programme of 70 million euro, mainly for research and development (R&D) activities and the expansion of the production sites in Sibiu and Timisoara. At present the group has 2,600 employees working on R&D activities in Romania. The group expects to employ 9,700 persons in total by the end of 2010.
