Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 21 May 2010, Isotherma, a company specialized in insulation and removal of asbestos, has entered into liquidation leaving 360 employees jobless in Montivilliers. This company which is owned by the Bernard Krief Consulting (BKC) group since 2008, was under a plan of judicial safeguards imposed on 12 March 2010 by the commercial court. The court took this decision because BKC has taken no commitments: bring money into the company to cover its many debts to suppliers.
