European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Belgian chemicals and plastics group Tessenderlo Chemie is to restructure its Calaire Chimie subsidiary in Calais, northern France and cut 51 jobs. The group blamed two years of poor market conditions for the need to reshape the firm with fierce competition from China leading to a drop in sales for its glycine product.
