Description
Sava Tires, a producer of car tyres owned by U.S. Goodyear, has been cutting jobs since May 2009. By the end of May 2010, the company will have reduced its workforce from 1,500 to 1,391 employees (i.e. by 109). The restructuring plan will be implemented by the end of May 2010. The job losses are blamed on the current economic downturn that has hit hard the car manufacturing sector and reduced demand for car tyres.
