Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Car manufacturer Saab Automobile is expanding its production on June 7 and recruiting at least 200 persons at their factory in Trollhättan. As of 23 February 2010, The company is owned by the Dutch sport car manufacturer Spyker. The takeover has, along with the introduction of a new model, contributed to stability and a more positive outlook for the future. The business expansion is one step towards getting the struggling company back on its feet.
Update on 12 May 2010:
The company has reviewed its recruitment plan; 187 blue-collar jobs will be created at the Trollhättan factory and another 150 white-collar jobs for the financial department.
