Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Swedish IT consultancy firm Sigma announced an expansion that will lead it to hire 150 - 200 employees before the end of 2010. 40 of these new recruits will come at its facilities in Gothenburg. Last year the company had to cut 50 jobs as a result of the global economic crisis. Despite this, the company made a profit of 47 million SEK (4.86 million EURO). The improving conditions on the Nordic market have inspired the recruitment drive.
Sigma specialises in two business areas: IT & Management and Information Logistics.
