European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Fiat, the Italian car maker, has announced to the trade unions the reorganisation plan that will develop in the next four years at its plant located at Pomigliano, in the province of Naples. The production and the shift system will be reorganized. The plant will produce the Fiat Panda model. Moreover, the plan envisages the loss of 500 jobs, out of 4,800 employees. The job cuts will affect only workers who are eligible for retirement in the next four years.
