Description
118-118 telephone directory inquiries company announced plans to close its call centre in Plymouth in June 2010 resulting in the loss of 180 jobs. The closure was blamed on an increase in the customers using the internet to access information. Employees are being offered voluntary redundancies and some of the staff are being given the chance to apply for vacancies at 118-118 call centres in South Wales.
