Description
It has been announced that as many as 250 new jobs are to be created at the PPD pharmaceutical plant, which is in the process of opening a new drug testing laboratory in County Westmeath. About 50 of the new jobs are currently commencing at the new Athlone facility, which will continue the co-ordination of clinical trials for some of the world's top drug manufacturers. In relation to this, PPD has already recruited laboratory support staff from graduate pools at Athlone Institute of Technology.
