Description

Sainsbury's is to open a new supermarket in Bangor (County Down) creating 350 jobs. The supermarket will be located in Balloo Retail Park, near to the site of an existing Homebase store. A multi-million pound investment is enabling the store to open, along with the refurbishment of the Homebase outlet. Chris Templeman, head of property development at Sainsbury's, said "This development is great news for the local economy in terms of job creation and an additional Sainsbury's store means increased business for our local suppliers". No information was given regarding the number currently employed by the company or the recruitment timeline.
