Description
UPM plans to cut 200 jobs at its pulp and paper mills Kaukas in Lappeenranta and Kymi in Kouvola. At both mills, negotiations with employees will start in February 2010. The estimated impact of the planned measures in terms of job losses is around 100 at each mill. Following the restructuring, the number of employees at the Kaukas mill will be about 700 and another 600 will be employed at the Kymi mill by the end of 2010.
