European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
ČD Cargo, a freight transport subsidiary of the České dráhy (the state-owned railway company of the Czech Republic) has announced a further 350 job cuts out of 9,860 by the end of 2010. Dismissed workers may be given a generous severance pay amounting up to CZK 100,000 (EUR 3,860) according to length of employment. In 2009, the company implemented 1,500 redundancies (see related fact sheet 14588).
