Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Brussels Airlines based in Zaventem is to create 110 new jobs with the launch of four new destinations in Africa (as from July). The company will hire 12 pilots, 50 cabin crew members, 9 ground staff at the Brussels airport and 39 operators in sales/customer support in the new African hubs - i.e. Accra (Ghana), Cotonou (Bénin), Lomé (Togo) and Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). This business expansion will result in the creation of another 110 indirect jobs for ground operations - e.g. aircraft handling, catering, security.
