Lund University plans to recruit 300 - 400 new employees before the end of 2010. Last year's large surplus of SEK 451 million (€46 million) allows for the expansion, which primarily concerns teachers and scientists.
The university has around 6,000 employees and 40,000 students. It is one of the leading institutions for higher education in Sweden.
