European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Klatovy meat processing plant has been closed and all 130 workers are to be dismissed by the end of February 2010. The main reason of the closure is that the owner of the production facility received an offer to sell the premises at a high price. Employees will be given severance pay amounting up to five average monthly wages. The company has a long history dating back to 1899 when the factory was established.
