The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Iccrea Banca, a bank belonging to one of the main Italian cooperative banking groups (Iccrea), announced 200 job-cuts in December 2009. The workforce's reduction will affect the branches of Iccrea Banca located at Rome.
At the end of January 2010, the Institute and the main sectoral trade unions reached an agreement on the redundancies. The agreement envisages economic incentives for dismissals on voluntary basis (for around 170 workers) and the recourse to the sectoral 'solidarity fund', created in 1998 by the social partners in order to introduce in the banking sector a sort of special Wages Guarantee Fund.
In Italy, Iccrea Banca has 1,250 employees.
