Pharmaceuticals firm ConvaTec announced plans to cut 100 jobs at Deeside. The announcement came after a review of manufacturing across its 14 factories worldwide. The company has been involved in consultations with employees and expects that most, if not all, of the redundancies will be achieved through voluntary means. 18 months ago the firm was bought by New York-based private equity firm Avista and the Stockholm-based Nordic Capital Fund.
