The internet service provider AOL has announced to cut 140 jobs in Germany and the closure of its four German offices in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Munich. This is part of a programme to restructure AOL's worldwide operation following the split from TimeWarner. The company invests around $200 million in this programme reducing its total workforce by one-third. AOL currently has offices in 11 countries but plans to close most European sites but not those in London and Dublin.
