Description
Abb, a global leader in power and automation technologies, is to cut 248 jobs (out of 650) at its plant located in Dalmine, in the province of Bergamo. The group has announced a reorganisation plan which involves the Abb plants located at Dalmine and Brno (Czech Republic). The Dalmine plant will focus its production on medium voltage products and systems. The trade unions reacted to the company decision demanding some meetings with the Abb Italia management in order to avoid the job losses.
In Italy Abb has around 5.700 employees.
