Description
Tyco Electronics Hungary Termelő Kft, a producer of electronical equipment for the automotive industry, dismissed 330 workers in Esztergom in 2009. Layoffs started in January and were completed in April 2009. The company, located in Esztergom (Komárom-Esztergom county) is the second biggest employer of the region. The company blames the dismissals on the economic crisis and sharp fall in the demand for the company's products. Tyco Electronics Hungary Termelő is part of Tyco Electronics Corporation, headquartered in Berwyn (USA).
