Description
Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń (PZU), the insurance group, is to dismiss up to 600 workers in its central office in Warsaw by the end of 2009 after long-lasting negotiations with trade unions. According to previous unofficial information, PZU was planning to cut about 1500 jobs from its head office in Warsaw and from its various branches around Poland. According to management of PZU, the company is to cut up to 600 jobs only in its head office in Warsaw.
