Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Lantmännen, the Swedish food, energy and agricultural group, has announced the dismissal of 400 white collar workers over the next three years. The restructuring plan is expted to save SEK 400m (EUR 39.14m). The process will be 60 percent complete by the end of 2009 and 85% complete by the end of 2010.
Lantmännen is a corporation in food, energy and agriculture. The Group is owned by 40 000 Swedish farmers, has 12 000 employees, and operates in 19 countries.
