Glaston is to cut 167 jobs (out of 320) at its plant located at Bregnano, in the province of Como.
The trade unions reacted to the company's decision by going out on strike and organising a demonstration in the streets of Rovellasca.
Glaston is the global market leader in glass processing machines. Glaston's brands are: Bavelloni in pre-processing machines and tools; Tamglass and Uniglass in safety glass machines; and Albat+Wirsam in software solutions.
