European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 24 November 2009, former Danish Telecom TDC announced that it is to cut 250 jobs in the department of 'Installation' in 2010. There is no information on when the job cuts will be implemented by.
TDC showed a surplus of approximately € 275 million in the third quarter of 2009. The trade union representatives in Danish Metalworkers Union dissociate themselves from this decision. The job losses are considered unnecessary as the company has reported excellent quarterly financial results.
