European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Mapier Production, a textile company in Vranov nad Topľou, is to dismiss most of its employees by the end of December 2009. Due to the economic crisis, more than 350 employees (mostly needlewomen) will lose their job. According to Ms Rimárová from the local employment office, about 150 of them will have the opportunity to be employed by another employer in the region in December.
