Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The North American multinational Lear, a cable producer for the automotive industry, has presented a redundancy programme to the Generalitat's Department of Employment, as part of the closure of its plant at Roquetes (Tarragona), where it employs 580 people.
The Spanish authorities applied for aid from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) and it is currently being implemented.
