Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Hand tool manufacturer SNA Europe announced 96 redundancies in Bollnäs and Lidköping due to the recession. SNA Europe will dismiss 66 and 30 workers at Bollnäs and Lidköping respectively as reduced orders have driven a need to lower the production costs. Subsequently, some of the production will be outsourced to Belarus.
The Swedish divisions of SNA Europe have 595 employees at several locations: the manufacturing divsions are in Lidköping, Edsbyn and Bollnäs while the distribution division in Sandviken and the sales office in Enköping.
