European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Cantor Fitzgerald, the US bond trader, is to create 100 new jobs in its UK investment banking operations. Chief executive Shawn Matthews believes an opportunity for Cantor has been created by the near-eradication of mid-tier players in investment banking, where the firm underwrites debt capital markets. "We look at the opportunity and think that the middle tier is under-banked for the first time in a long while," he said.
