Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ipsen, a leading producer of heat treatment furnaces with numerous manufacturing sites worldwide, will cut 121 out of 327 jobs at its Kleve site. This is due to a decline in demand of a specific heating furnace system. About 100 employees can chose if they want to be transferred to a job creation agency. The remaining workforce will be dismissed.
