Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Orlen Lietuva, the Baltic oil refinery controlled by Poland's oil concern PKN Orlen, aims to eliminate its maintenance shop and dismiss 166 employees in Mazeikiai until 1 February, 2010. According to the management the dismissals were part of ongoing restructuring of the company aimed at disposal of non-core activities. At present 2,460 employees are employed in Orlen Lietuva.
