Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ljubljana-based Etra 33, a manufacturer of power, distribution and special transformers, has just begun to build a new plant which will employ 100 people by the end of 2010. With an investment of EUR 30 million, the new plant will produce more powerful transformers of up to 400 KV, while the existing production enables manufacturing of transformers of up to 245 KV. The company currently employs 200 employees.
