Billboards operator CBS Outdoor France, a subsidiary of US media group CBS, has announced the loss of 100 jobs between January 2010 and December 2010.
The CEO of CBS Outdoor France has presented a restructuring plan to staff representatives announcing the cut of 100 out of 727 jobs. The measure includes the elimination of 215 posts and the creation of new 115 posts.
The group decided to reorganise its activities due to the continuous drop of prices, the rising regulatory pressure in France, and the need to invest more in innovation. Trade union representatives within CBS Outdoor France will call a strike in November 2009 to protest against the planned job cuts.
CBS Outdoor France generated revenue of EUR 170 millions in 2008. The CBS Corporation group is a mass media company with operations in television, radio, as well as outdoor, interactive and publishing segments such as billboard advertisement.
