Description
City of York Council has announced that it is to cut 200 posts as part of plans to save £15m in the city over the next three years. It hopes to meet the reductions through measures such as staff turnover, retirements and redeployment. The council's new chief executive, Kersten England, said she expected to be able to meet the savings target without any compulsory redundancies.
