Description
Scotland's biggest power company, Scottish and Southern Energy, has announced plans to create 250 renewable energy jobs in Glasgow. The new jobs are expected to be both highly skilled and highly paid. The project will be developed with the University of Strathclyde. It will include design, engineering, project management, procurement and monitoring of the company's renewable energy sites across Europe. The Scottish government has backed the project with a grant of £2.8m. No date has been given for the expansion.
