Description
Mapping agency Ordnance Survey has announced that 180 staff will take voluntary redundancy as part of a cost cutting exercise. The cuts are part of a plan to reduce costs by 5% per annum for the next 5 years. Whilst the company is wholly government owned, it runs as a commercial business receiving no money from taxpayers. No date for redundancies has been confirmed, though the company notified workers that have successfully applied for redundancy last week.
