Description
Swedish mobile phone manufacturer Ericsson announced plans to cut 200 jobs at its R&D unit in Herzogenrath (nearby Aachen). Currently, 700 people are employed in the unit. The company blames the measure on technological progress in internet-based telephone appliances. The job cuts will be implemented by 2014.
