Description
The Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, a US owned tyre manufacturer, has announced plans to cut 180 jobs at its Melksham plant in Wiltshire. The cuts are blamed on 'the unprecedented increases in raw material and labour costs' which will result in the tranfer of some of the production from Melksham to plants in Asia over the next 12 months. As of 14 September 2009 no further information is available.
