Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
AGC automotive, which manufactures windscreens, is about to cut 163 jobs on its site of Fleurus. Directly linked to the automobile sector, the company is severely affected by the crisis and the decrease of demand. At the beginning of 2000, the site employed 1200 workers, while only 150 workers will remain on the site after the restructuring. The trade unions now fear a probable closure of the site.
