Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Network Rail is to cut 1800 maintenance jobs by April 2011. The company will eliminate a total of 2,459 positions, but the additional cuts affect subcontractors, not permanent posts. The company stated that it hopes to avoid any compulsory redundancies but RMT, the union, spoke of a 'jobs masscre.'
