Ulster Bank has announced plans to make another 250 people redundant on top of the 750 already confirmed in January. The bank, part of Royal Bank of Scotland, reported £8m loss in the first six months of the year. It is understood that approximately 55 of the posts will be axed in Northern Ireland, taking the total to 255, while 195 jobs will be shed in the Republic taking the total redundancies there to 745.
