Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Ernst & Young France has announced that nearly 300 jobs out of 4,700 will be cut between September and December 2009. The economic crisis has forced Ernst & Young France, last month, to implement this plan. The measure affects 307 workers or 6.5% of France total workforce.
In March, Ernst & Young France had informed the work council of his intention to establish a plan for voluntary departures. The plan proposes an ‘invitation to voluntary departures'. By August, the 307 affected workers accepted to leave the company on a voluntary basis.
