Description
On 27 July 2009, the forklift truck manufacturer Jungheinrich announced to cut 650 jobs worldwide. Job cuts are mainly to affect its German sites in Norderstedt and Moosburg. Another 150 sales representatives will have to leave the company in and outside Germany. However, talks with the works council on the matter are still ongoing. Timelines for the job reduction are not yet finalised. Job cuts areĀ attributed to the lasting decline in demand for the company's products. The company employed a global workforce of around 10,800 employees in March 2009.
