Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The company Ceramicas Gala, in Burgos, has announced the dismissal of 176 workers, which represents close to 40% of the staff that currently stands at 440 employees. Yesterday the company presented a Redundancy Procedure in which it justified the measure in the important drop recorded in the production of sanitary fittings, drop that in turn is a consequence of the crisis in the construction sector. Representatives of the company's Works Council have not made any statements, alleging that a negotiation period with management is set to start in a few days, in which the idea is to minimise to a maximum the proposal of eliminating the work posts.
