Description
On 13 July 2009, the insurance company Bayerische Beamten Versicherung announced that it will cut 100 of its 550 jobs in Germany. The job cuts are to save 10 million euro annually. The company stated that it was looking for socially acceptable solutions to implement the job cuts which are a part of an internal restructuring programme. Downsizing affected all departments of the insurer. Timelines concerning the employment effect start or its end were not specified by the company.
