The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Skanska, the construction and development group, is planning to hire 400 workers (welders, concrete specialists, heavy equipment operators) for construction work on the A-1 motorway by Grudziądz, Poland. There are already 800 people working on the 62 km stretch of motorway which will connect Nowe Marzy and Czerwienice by Toruń; the additional 400 will stay on the job until scheduled completion of the motorway segment in 2011.
