Description
MBF Technologies, the French car parts maker, has announced that it will lay off 166 employees in France as part of a restructuring plan.
The CEO announced this plan to the Works Council. The plan affects the plant of Saint-Claude in the east of France, where 546 are employed. The trade unions contested this plan.
The restructuring is due to the difficulties that the automobile industry is facing in the financial crisis. Peugeot and Renault are the major customers.
